This is a bulletin board that I recently put up to house student questions.
Here are some uses for this burning questions board:
– This serves as a “parking lot” for some of interesting questions that we may not have time for during a particular lesson. I then review the questions and share them along with explanations when time permits.
– Students can post a question that could be answered by another student based on the daily lesson and they stick it to the board on their way out (exit ticket). The next day, students pick up another student’s question on the way in and need to answer it on the back before class starts.
– Students post questions about a unit that they hope will be answered during our studies.
This bulletin board is great to keep up ALL year! I simply change the standard that we are focusing on and clean off the post-its once we have addressed them.
