Do you teach about potential and kinetic energy? Well, I just might have something for you! I’m pretty excited about the “Energy Exploration Stations” that I just finished creating and using with my 6th graders. Each station took about 15-20 minutes for the students to complete and turned out to be a great way to assess student understanding following our lessons on potential and kinetic energy types, and how energy changes from one form to the next. Here is a small FREEBIE sample of the stations (one of the five stations) that you might be able to use in your classroom. This freebie includes student directions, a student worksheet to complete during the experiment and a teacher answer key!
The entire mini-unit is also available at my TpT store and includes lesson plans, sorting cards, worksheets as well as 5 Energy Exploration Stations!
Thanks for checking it out….and happy teaching!
